Traditional Alpujarra fabric, also known as Castilian curtain fabric, with a classic design of vertical stripes in different colors. Made from a blend of 65% polyester (recycled) and 35% cotton, with an approximate width of 150 cm and a weight of 220 g/m², this fabric combines durability, body, and rustic aesthetics.
It is ideal for making curtains, sheer curtains, bedspreads, tapestries, cushion covers, table runners, tablecloths, and decorative elements in rural or traditional-style settings. It is also used in regional costumes or folk reenactments.
Its firm texture allows for a structured drape without losing flexibility. In addition, the fiber combination provides greater resistance to daily use and ease of maintenance.
Me Gusta Coser Tip: Before sewing, wash the fabric in cold water without strong spinning to preserve its colors and structure. We recommend sewing with a 90/14 universal needle, and if working with thick hems, use a walking foot to facilitate feeding.
